Congested baby and sleep?

I just got my six month old sleeping on her own. Now she is congested and can't get to sleep or stay asleep on her own. I am back to rocking her, holding her, and up with her several times a night. I know she is sick and needs her mommy so I don't mind it. I am just worried that our efforts to get her to sleep on her own are being derailed. Will she get used to us helping her to sleep and expect it even after her cold is gone?
