Where can i get totally free music downloads?

i've used limewire for years, never had a problem but it seems they're now out of business. i tried ares but the downloads don't always come through.tried bare share but you have to pay for the best songs. is there any where i can get totally free music downloads to put on a disk? thanks so much.
