Bandwidth being drained steadily and I don't know why?

My bandwidth is being drained by something and it's affecting my online browsing and gaming. I'm using Shaplus bandwidth meter and it shows about 200kb being drained per second even when I'm not doing anything online. How do I find what's causing it?
