PARENTS: Do you think summer tutoring is effective?

if someone's really struggling, sure (*though presumably you could do at least as well as a 14-year-old without paying $12/hour). . otherwise, at that age it's cheaper and more fun to develop skills by reading a book, writing a journal or story, playing a game of cards. or some similar activity.
