A question about Latin Americans...?

A friend of mine says that there are alot of pale "white" people in Colombia, and someone like me of European ancestry would fit in fine; but when I see pictures of her old school and friends in Colombia they all represent the steriotypical Latino girls, what country from the Rio Grande to the bottom of the continent, besides the well-known Argentina, has some European influence in its people were you wouldnt stick out like a sore thumb?
