Foot Locker water proofer boot protector on uggs?

I just received a pair of black Bailey on Triplet uggs in the mail and I absolutely love them. I don't really want to invest more money on the care kit and I have some boot protector that I used for my timberlands. It says on the back that its for leather, suede, and nubuck but I wanted to make sure that it will be safe to use on my fairly expensive brand new uggs.
