Question on the "Fairness Act"?

Isn't this where the government is trying to control Republican radio? They say they have to show equal views. My question is why don't the Dems have their own station? I am sorry but isn't this the same as telling a primarily "black" station they have to play "white" music? Or a country station they have to play hip hop? I don't get why Lib are such babies and they have to force their opinion on everyone. After all I do know how to work the radio I can just change the channel if I don't like it. Why cant they do the same?
